Camphor burl
From a fairly small street tree, this huge burl grew like an upside down mushroom. Total height of less than a foot, the tree trunk was a fifth the diameter of the burl. This is the smallest piece around 3' across, the biggest is almost 5' in diameter.


Our favorite way to work
Our favorite way to work even on projects we didn’t design is to be involved at the end of construction or the beginning of a home purchase for an intense month where we might make a dozen critical pieces of what will make your home special. we save the effort for the parts you see every day: doors, light fixtures, key pieces of furniture, cabinets.


How we came to be
Here is the reason the whole system works and what inspired me to do all this. I've always been interested in making things with wood, but the arrival of my friend Bruce and his crane has enabled my back to continue to function. This machine does take some love to keep it working but it changes everything. At first, all we had was the Alaskan Mill, here modeled by my friends Colin and Natalie. We had to focus on great pieces of wood like this curly redwood because it took
